One car in the running is the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Designed to be a major leap forward for the brand, it is the highest performing and most technically advanced car ever developed in its class. With its name derived after one of the most collectible cars of all time, the 1969 ZL1 Camaro, the 2012 ZL1 has all the makings of a classic- including progressive design, limited availability and a touch of nostalgia. Its launch is planned for 2012.
Chevrolet also announced that a special-edition Camaro Convertible will be the official pace car of the 2011 Indianapolis 500. They will produce only 500 matching replicas, giving enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of history.
