LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lexus is proud to announce that its hit music show, VIDALEXUS Presenta: Té Para Tres con Pili Montilla was recognized with an EMMY® in the Magazine Show category at the 39th Annual Suncoast EMMY Awards this past Saturday at the Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The award marks the first win amongst four consecutive nominations of the unique show, which spotlights the best of Latin Alternative Music.
The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) offers EMMY Awards for excellence in journalism and production in television markets throughout the state of Florida; in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and New Orleans, Louisiana; in Mobile, Alabama; in Thomasville, Georgia; and cities throughout Puerto Rico for excellence in journalism and production.
"I'm so happy! Té Para Tres is my baby. This was years of hard work and each achievement obtained with this project I celebrate to the fullest. As a Puerto Rican in Hollywood, I try every day to put the name of Puerto Rico in high regard, and slowly am seeing how those dreams are becoming a reality," said Pilli Montilla, the show's creator and host.
Since its 2009 debut, the unique music show allows audiences to experience a day in the life of the most relevant acts bubbling in the Latin Alternative Music realm. Only in its third season, a range of alt icons including Draco Rosa, Julieta Venegas, and Kinky—along with emerging acts such as Raquel Sofia, Astro, Hello Seahorse! and Indigo—have been featured as musical guests.
"As a music lover, I enjoy every step of the program…and truthfully, this award is also for all the artists who have participated in the show and whose stories inspire us," said Montilla. "I have an excellent team that works passionately on this project. My production partner and friend Juan Agustin and I have fought hard for this and strive for more. What joy!"
Lexus has extended its partnership with the critically acclaimed music program in its third season, taking the show on the road with its namesake intimate live music concert series, VidaLexus Presents Té Para Tres Live Concert Series.
"Té Para Tres celebrates the Hispanic community's vibrant influence on American culture. It's a fantastic showcase for Latin music and talent, and we congratulate them on receiving this prestigious award," said Brian Bolain, Corporate Manager, Lexus Marketing. "We are extremely proud to be a part of this amazing series."
