Additionally, Chua is the eldest daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Virgilio Chua, now both retired from long and gainful careers in the Philippines' leading telecommunications company. She inspired her brothers to follow her footsteps into the medical field. Vincent Oliver now practices as a nurse in New Zealand; Verdan Joseph is a dentist who aced the 2012 licensure exams and currently runs his own private practice; Vergil Lloyd ventured into Medical Technology in Nuclear Technology at the Asian Institute in Manila. Meanwhile, her youngest brother Vermont Edward is taking up Post-Graduate Studies in Administration in New Zealand.
Her keys to success are to "be punctual always" and to follow the golden rule of, "Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you." Chua's future goals are, "to continue serving mankind as a Physical therapist and to be able to teach others who would want to walk in this path of career."
Outside of work, Chua is interested in aerial navigation. She is also interested in oil painting, karaoke, guitars, keyboarding, and runs an online medical blog.
