Vicki Squires, Ph.D. is recognized by Continental Who's Who
SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Canada, July 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Vicki Squires, Ph.D. is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the fields of Higher Education and Education Administration.
Dr. Squires serves as Assistant Professor and Graduate Chair of Education Administration at the University of Saskatchewan. Her job duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Education, as well as conducting research in strategic planning, assessment, higher education and leadership.
Prior to working in her current position, Dr. Squires served as a Vice Principal at Saskatoon Public Schools from 2005 to 2010. She then came to the University of Saskatchewan in 2013 and initially worked as the Associate Director for Strategic and Operational Services.
"As part of the senior leadership team for the Student and Enrollment Services Division, I worked with the managers of all the units to determine priority actions, supported or led special projects for the division and collaborated with other campus stakeholders on strategic initiatives," Dr. Squires said.
Later, Dr. Squires moved to the role of Manager of Planning, Program Development and Assessment. "I utilized quantitative and qualitative assessment methods to gather data and feedback that will help determine success in achieving outcomes in student service units," she said.
Dr. Squires earned her Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership in Administration from the University of Saskatchewan in 2004, and then completed her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration, also at the University of Saskatchewan, in 2010. As a result of her outstanding work in the field, she was been nominated for the Thomas Greenfield Dissertation Award.
In addition to her work in the classroom and in administration, Dr. Squires is the published author of several articles including, "Be Prepared for Policy Windows: Cultivating Campus Change", "Tackling Complex Educational Challenges Through Adaptive Leadership", and "Enhance, Extend, Empower: Understanding faculty use of e-learning technologies".
When not working, Dr. Squires volunteers her time as a Board Member of CHEP – Good Food Inc. that focuses on developing food security for vulnerable children and seniors. She also enjoys traveling.
