Vicki Lynn Allen is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional
POCATELLO, Idaho, June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Vicki Lynn Allen is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare. Vicki is the Director of Clinical Site Development for the Physician Assistance Program at Idaho State University.
Vicki has over 30 years of experience in Nursing and currently focuses on Patient Care; Management; Systems Operations; Meeting with Potential Preceptors for Clinical Sites; Maintenance of Clinical Sites and Overseeing Staff. In addition to her vast accomplishments in her current role, Vicki also developed "Adolescence in the Nineties" in 1992, which was a six-week program for parents and students sponsored by Pocatello Regional Medical Center. The program ran for eight years.
Furthermore, Vicki dedicates her time and talent to numerous professional and community organizations including the National Association of Neonatal Nurses; Association of Women, Newborn and Neonatal Nursing; American Academy of Pediatrics; American Heart Association; and the National Council State Boards of Nursing. Vicki also serves as Vice Chair for the Idaho State Board of Nursing, and is a Board Member with the Pocatello Free Clinic. She is a valued member of the League of Women Voters; past chairperson of the Citizens Advisory Board for Pocatello Police Department; past chairperson of Project SafePlace; as well as a current member of the Medical Reserve Corp for Southeast Idaho.
In addition, Vicki has been widely recognized for her dedication to the field of Nursing. She is the Recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award from Project Safe Place (2000) as well as the Recipient of the "8 Who Make a Difference" Award (2000). She has been nominated as a March of Dimes Nurse Manager of the Year (2006) and was honored in 2007 with a March of Dimes Excellence in Nursing Award as well as a March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award. Vicki has also received the Idaho Business Review Nurse Health Care Hero Award (2007) and was awarded the Idaho Hospital Association Award of Excellence in Patient Care (2008).
Vicki earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Madison Area Technical College and also studied at the University of Wisconsin. In addition, she completed a certification program in Grant Proposal Writing at Fort Hays State University. Aside from her degree area studies, Vicki also holds numerous certifications in the Healthcare field. She is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, Certified Basic Life Support Instructor; and Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor. Vicki also holds Certificates in Conflict Resolution; Preceptor in Healthcare; and Preceptor in a Healthcare Facility.
