Dr. Franklin commented, "I am excited to join the Via Surgical Medical Advisory Board and to support shaping the FasTouch™ fixation device and Via Surgical's pipeline of products. Via Surgicals FasTouch™ device addresses a clinical need for elimination of transfacial sutures, troublesome tacks, which have been a primary cause of long term pain, without diminishing the effectiveness of the repair. FasTouch™ has the potential to become very popular in laparoscopic ventral and inguinal hernia repair. I look forward to working with an impressive team that is focused on the development and commercialization of products that address important and clear clinical needs for the benefit of the patients.
