VHMA 'Insight Through Interaction' Management Exchange Taps Member Expertise to Deliver a Dynamic Learning Experience for Attendees Jan. 28th-30th, 2011
ALACHUA, Fla., Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) today announced details for the "Insight Through Interaction" Management Exchange. This three-day professional development program has been created to help those dedicated to managing veterinary practices learn from each other's expertise through engaging and informative peer-led sessions. The VHMA Management Exchange, scheduled for January 28-30, 2011, at the Mayfair Hotel & Spa in Coconut Grove, Fla., is uniquely organized around the belief that veterinary practice managers learn best from one another.
The VHMA Management Exchange is designed to develop the practice management skills of members by providing a forum for new ideas, best practices, and lessons learned from members themselves. Attendees will return to their own practices with ideas gleaned from their colleagues to improve efficiency, effectiveness and profitability. Fifteen continuing education credits are available and attendance is limited to just 60 participants.
Session topics are determined by attendees, and every attendee is given the opportunity to present, discuss, and brainstorm. Some of the sessions already slated include: innovative approaches to strategic planning, an HR panel discussion, and a frank roundtable discussion that focuses on triumphs and blunders experienced in the veterinary practice setting when new initiatives where implemented over the past year. Additional panel discussions, workshops, and group activities are being planned to provide attendees the skills and professional contacts that will prove valuable to their practices well beyond the conference itself.
"Every professional working in veterinary practice management has a unique perspective to share, an invaluable piece of advice, a strategy for performing his or her job better," said Christine Shupe, VHMA executive director. "VHMA's 'Insight Through Interaction' Management Exchange brings these ideas to life in a format designed to educate and inspire others in the profession."
Conference details can be found on the Events page at www.vhma.org.
