Simione III to lead the 50-year-old home care and hospice consulting firm as Managing Principal, effective January 1, 2017. He succeeds Robert J. Simione, who is retiring from the top post and will continue with Simione to provide strategic consulting for home care and hospice industry. Bill's father and Bob's brother, William J. Simione Jr., founded the firm in 1966, growing a busy, family enterprise into the nation's largest and one of the most successful consulting organizations focused on home care, hospice and post-acute network development.
Over the years, Simione has built a diverse team of principals and consultants in clinical, financial and administrative areas/roles, recruiting top talent in healthcare operations, finance and cost reporting, compliance and risk, sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and information technology. Working throughout the U.S. with consultants located in more than 25 states, the firm is headquartered in Hamden, Connecticut, with additional offices in Rohnert Park, California, and Westborough, Massachusetts.

A veteran in home care and hospice finance and operations, Bill Simione has served in a growing capacity with Simione since 1990, leading the firm's finance division for the last 9 years. As Managing Principal, he will oversee all consulting, as well as product and service delivery, drawing on his active involvement in home care and hospice industry for the last 26 years.
He has held many interim management positions, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Patient Accounting for numerous home care/hospice organizations – ranging from single agencies to multi-state organizations and hospital-owned post-acute entities. During his interim management positions, he has been responsible for many agency turnarounds, including positioning an agency for acquisition.
Bill is a highly experienced speaker addressing many national home care and hospice organizations, as well as state and local associations on finance and revenue cycle, operations, acquisitions and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement. He is a member of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association, Connecticut Association for Healthcare at Home, and Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts.
Closer to home, Bill is an active member in his community, serving on several boards of directors, and is the former Chairman of the Board of Easter Seals Goodwill Industries of Greater New Haven. He is a graduate of Villanova University with a B.S. in Accounting.
