Veteran E-Discovery Executive Andrea Johnson Named Catalyst CMO
DENVER, Dec. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Andrea Johnson, the former vice president of marketing and head of innovation at Kroll Inc., has been named chief marketing officer of Catalyst, the Denver-based company that provides a secure, multi-language, e-discovery platforms to help the world's largest companies and law firms manage electronic discovery and other complex legal matters.
As CMO, Ms. Johnson will take the lead in driving Catalyst's growth domestically and internationally. She will be responsible for designing and executing Catalyst's strategic marketing plan and for formulating and managing the marketing budget. She will oversee all aspects of the company's branding, communications, public relations and social media.

As VP of marketing at Kroll from 2007 to 2011, Ms. Johnson was responsible for brand management and public relations for the global corporation. Among her achievements at Kroll, she established the Office of Innovation to drive organic strategic growth across geographic territories and business units, trained key business leaders in outcome-driven research methodology, and produced more than $10 million in new business over two years.
Previously, as VP of marketing at Kroll Ontrack Inc., Ms. Johnson built and managed a global marketing team that supported the company's rapid growth from $30 million to $200 million in three years and shaped the thought leadership brand in the emerging e-discovery industry. She managed a $3 million marketing budget and extended retail sales through innovative partnerships with companies such as Best Buy, Dell and McAfee.
Immediately before joining Catalyst, Ms. Johnson was founder and CEO of The Lawyer Charity Challenge/Giving Tree Marketing, a charitable golf tournament for attorneys that fosters an elite social networking environment while raising money for charity.
Ms. Johnson received a master's degree in communications from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a bachelor's degree in English and speech communication from St. Olaf College. She resides in Fort Collins, Colo., with her husband and three children.
