Vested Interest in K9s Partners with Groupon in Nationwide Campaign to Protect Police Dogs

TAUNTON, Mass., Nov. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., a MA based, nationwide non-profit organization was selected by Groupon to participate in the "10 Year Anniversary" campaign for Groupon Grassroots. The campaign runs November 14 through November 28 and aims to raise funds to outfit 200 law enforcement K9's with bullet and stab protective vests.  GROUPON is collecting $10 donations through their secure website (gr.pn/VIK9s) - where 100% of funds are allocated to purchase ballistic vests for four-legged crime fighters who are in danger. To date, Groupon Grassroots campaigns have raised almost $600,000 for Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.

VESTED INTEREST IN K9s, INC.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c(3) charity located in East Taunton, MA whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.. Since 2009, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. provided over 3,100 protective vests, in 50 states, through private and corporate donations, at a value of over 5.7 million dollars. Other assistance includes 38 K9 first aid kits, 300 Narcan and Narcase kits, medical insurance for 50 active duty K9s, and 1 Chevy Tahoe K9 patrol vehicle.

The vest program is open to dogs actively employed in the U.S. with law enforcement or related agencies who are certified and at least 20 months of age. New K9 graduates, as well as K9s with expired vests, are eligible to participate.

A donation of $950 provides one protective vest for a law enforcement K9. Each vest is made in the USA and has a value between $1,795 – $2,234 and a five-year warranty.
