Vertellus Specialties announces price increases for Cetyl Pyrdinium Chloride, CPC

INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Vertellus Specialties Inc., a leading specialty chemicals company, today announced price increases for Cetyl Pyrdinium Chloride (CPC).

Effective November 1, 2013, or as contracts allow, Vertellus is raising prices (both list and off-list) on all grades of CPC by 7.5%. CPC is a common ingredient in many consumer products including mouthwash and toothpaste.

Mark Lewis, Sales Director, says, "Raw material costs have been steadily increasing over the last 12 months. So, in response, we are forced to pass these increased costs onto our customers and consumers."
