Vernier's 2015 Summer Institutes Provide Hands-On Professional Learning Opportunities for Science and STEM Educators
Full-day workshops help educators acquire data-collection skills and knowledge using Vernier's award-winning technology
BEAVERTON, Ore., May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vernier Software & Technology will host full-day, hands-on training institutes this summer to help science and STEM teachers integrate probeware and data-collection technology into their science curriculum. Led by knowledgeable training specialists, the workshops allow attendees to use Vernier's award-winning technology to explore classroom-ready experiments and to gain valuable data-logging skills and knowledge.
"Our institutes provide educators of all experience levels with a great opportunity to continue their professional learning over the summer," said David Vernier, co-founder of Vernier and a former physics teacher. "Under the guidance of our trainers, educators can test out our data-collection technology firsthand and learn best practices, which they can bring back to the classroom."
The six-hour institutes are designed to meet the needs of teachers from a wide variety of grade levels and STEM disciplines, including physics, chemistry, biology, environmental/Earth science, and more. The $99 registration fee includes training, lunch, access to lab handouts, and a lab manual of choice.
