Vernier Launches Its 2017 Summer Institutes for Science and STEM Educators
Being held nationwide, full-day institutes provide educators with hands-on training using data-collection technology
BEAVERTON, Ore., June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vernier Software & Technology will host 13 full-day, hands-on training institutes this summer to help science and STEM educators learn how to integrate data-collection technology into their curriculum. Led by knowledgeable training specialists, the institutes will provide attendees with the opportunity to use Vernier data-collection technology to explore classroom-ready experiments and activities.
"The Summer Institutes provide a great opportunity for teachers to learn new data-collection skills and techniques as they continue their professional learning," said John Wheeler, CEO of Vernier Software & Technology. The six-hour institutes support educators from a wide variety of grade levels and STEM disciplines, including physics, chemistry, biology, environmental/Earth science, and more. The $99 registration fee includes training, lunch, access to the Workshop Training Manual download, and your choice of one Vernier digital lab book.

Vernier will also be hosting one- and two-day Subject-Specific Institutes at its headquarters in Beaverton, OR. These institutes will provide educators with in-depth experience in using data-collection technology in a specific STEM subject. The one-day institutes cost $99 and the two day-institutes cost $199. Both include training, lunch, and one Vernier digital lab book or piece of equipment.
