Verizon's Wireless network ranked #1 for overall performance in Omaha by RootMetrics®

OMAHA, Neb., Aug. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon customers in Omaha are enjoying all of the benefits of the top-performing wireless network in the area, according to the Omaha RootScore^® Report, conducted by Seattle-based RootMetrics. In the new RootMetrics second half 2016 report, Verizon won the overall performance award in Omaha and throughout Nebraska. 

RootMetrics is an independent mobile analytics firm that uses off-the-shelf consumer smartphones to test the network capabilities of all four major U.S. wireless carriers in six network performance categories across various geographies.

Verizon has won the Overall RootScore Award in Omaha since 2014. Verizon also ranked first this year in overall performance and data performance, and shared the first place ranking for call and text performance, network reliability and network speed. Verizon recorded the fastest median data upload speed, compared to competing wireless networks.

RootMetrics professional testers drove more than 900 miles throughout the Omaha metro area in the recent study. They compared national wireless competitors in 24 indoor locations and conducted nearly 14,000 total tests in July 2016.

Across the U.S., RootMetrics rated Verizon's wireless network as the leader among all major national wireless service providers for the fifth consecutive time during testing in the second half of 2015.
