Verizon Wireless Celebrates Customer Appreciation Event With A HopeLine Grant To Women Called Moses

Verizon Wireless will host an all-day Customer Appreciation Event on Saturday, May 10. Open to the community, it will feature special offers, product demos, ticket giveaways, food trucks and surprises for mom. |
In honor of the event, Verizon Wireless will present a HopeLine grant to Women Called Moses on Friday, May 9. The grant will help advance the mission of the Women Called Moses, a Duncanville-based non-profit that seeks to prevent and end the cycle of violence against women. They accomplish this through education and advocacy services provided to individuals, families, and community agencies throughout the United States of America. |

HopeLine by Verizon collects used cell phones from any carrier to be recycled or sold and donates the proceeds in the form of cash grants and pre-paid wireless phones to advocacy groups for use by survivors. Verizon Wireless was the first wireless carrier in the nation to collect and recycle old cell phones, and has done so on behalf of survivors of domestic violence since 1999. |
