Verizon to Host FiOS Educational Forum in Ward 4 on Aug. 25
Company to Update District Residents on FiOS Deployment Plans, Benefits of Verizon's Award-Winning FiOS Services
WASHINGTON, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- As Verizon continues to roll out its award-winning FiOS TV and Internet services in the District, the company will host the first of several forums on Wednesday (Aug. 25) to update the community on FiOS deployment efforts. At the session, Verizon officials will demonstrate innovative, new features that differentiate Verizon's award-winning FiOS TV from existing cable services; highlight special promotions; and answer residents' questions about FiOS.
Verizon also will describe its popular Velocity program, under which participating nonprofit organizations earn money for their cause when their members or supporters purchase certain Verizon products including FiOS Internet, FiOS TV, Freedom Calling, Long Distance, High Speed Internet and DIRECTV (when ordered as part of a bundle with other Verizon services).
Joining Verizon at the FiOS educational forum will be D.C. Councilmember Muriel Bowser and officials from the Office of People's Counsel.
