IRVING, Texas, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Soccer enthusiasts can stop in the Verizon Plus Store on W. Airport Freeway on Saturday (May 8) and audition for the opportunity to cover the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa live for Univision.
Camera crews from Univision will be on site to tape individual performances. Participants should highlight their knowledge of sports, creativity, and an overall vibrant on-screen personality to show why they should be chosen as the Reportero Verizon for Univision. The winner will be selected in a few weeks, based on the criteria above.
In the Verizon Plus Store, visitors can also meet Univision sports anchor Mario Montez and meteorologist Noberto Hernandez and enter to win giveaways such as tickets to see George Lopez live in concert at the Verizon Theater. Visitors can also learn about new Verizon FiOS services and offerings, like the La Conexion TV, Internet, and phone bundled package. Local radio station La Que Buena 94.1 FM will broadcast live onsite.
Those who can't make it to the store can submit a video online at www.univision.com, enter "Reportero Verizon" in the search bar and click on "Uniclave" for more information.
