Verizon Invites Wilmington-Area Residents and Businesses to Recycle Unwanted Electronics on May 14
Will Achieve 5-Year Goal of Collecting 2 Million Pounds of Electronic Waste
WILMINGTON, N.C., May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon employee-volunteers will conduct the company's fourth electronic waste recycling rally in Wilmington on May 14. Previous e-waste collection events in Wilmington have safely diverted more than 160,000 pounds (80 tons) of computer hardware, TVs and small appliances from landfills to be recycled into new products – thanks to participating area residents and businesses.
