Ravens Linebacker Chris Canty and CBS Sportscaster James Brown to Help Enable Coaches to Develop Young Men of Character
BALTIMORE, April 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Verizon Foundation and A CALL TO MEN – a leading national violence prevention organization – will bring together hundreds of middle school, high school, college and community coaches on April 16 for a domestic violence prevention training program entitled, A Call To Coaches: Your Voice Counts.
At the half-day, interactive seminar, to be held at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel, coaches and mentors will learn how to foster a healthy manhood, promote healthy relationships and foster positive locker room talk. Participants will leave the training with a list of action items and free resources that will equip them to continue the conversation with their teams and in their communities.
The training is part of the Verizon Foundation's Your Voice Counts campaign (www.verizonfoundation.org/yourvoicecounts), which seeks to engage and empower men to speak up and be part of the solution to end domestic violence. The seminar training materials will soon be available for public download on the Your Voice Counts website.
