Verizon FiOS Presents the New FOX Tuesday
FiOS TV Customers Get a Front Row Seat to FOX's New Tuesday Lineup, Including Special Programming, Behind-the-Scenes Videos and a Chance to Win a Trip to the Los Angeles Set of a FOX Comedy Series
NEW YORK, Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon and Fox Broadcasting Company have joined forces to give Verizon's FiOS TV customers a front row seat to FOX's new Tuesday night comedy lineup. In addition to special programming available on FiOS TV Video on Demand, Verizon and FOX are hosting a sweepstakes that will give one lucky winner the chance to visit the Los Angeles set of a FOX comedy series.
The New FOX Tuesday, which begins Sept. 25 (8 p.m.-10 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX, includes returning favorites "New Girl" and "Raising Hope," along with newcomers "Ben and Kate" and "The Mindy Project."
"We love to be able to reward our FiOS TV customers, and this special access to the New FOX Tuesday is certainly an exciting prize," said Patricia Foster, director of marketing for Verizon. "With FiOS TV's amazing picture clarity and FiOS Internet's incredible speeds, our customers can enjoy all that FOX has to offer."
From now through Oct. 23, FiOS TV customers will have access to special content from each of the four Tuesday night comedies. Programming highlights include behind-the-scenes materials, promos for upcoming episodes and interviews with the casts and crews of the shows. Also, special clips can be found on Verizon's Facebook page.
On Sept. 25, Emmy Award-nominated comedy "New Girl" returns with a two-episode season premiere (8 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.-9:30 p.m. ET/PT). Then, "Ben and Kate" (8:30 p.m.-9 p.m. ET/PT) and "The Mindy Project" (9:30 p.m.-10 p.m. ET/PT) join the Tuesday comedy block. "Ben and Kate" stars newcomer Dakota Johnson and Nat Faxon ("Bad Teacher," Academy Award-winning co-screenwriter of "The Descendants") as a pair of odd-couple siblings – one a responsible single mom; the other an exuberant dreamer – who reunite to help raise Kate's daughter, Maddie (Maggie Jones, "We Bought A Zoo"). Created and written by Mindy Kaling ("The Office"), "The Mindy Project" stars Kaling as a skilled ob-gyn trying to balance both her personal and professional life. The following week, on Oct. 2 (8 p.m.-8:30 p.m. ET/PT), "Raising Hope" returns to the Tuesday night lineup with all-new misadventures of the Chance family.
The Tuesday Night Laughs Sweepstakes, sponsored by Verizon, is available now by visiting the FiOS Facebook page at www.facebook.com/verizonfios and clicking on the "Now On FiOS" tab. Customers earn entry into the sweepstakes simply by submitting their information. They can earn additional entries by watching the New FOX Tuesday trailer, and can earn even more entries by correctly identifying and entering the code found on the "Now On FiOS" tab.
Verizon will randomly select one customer each week to win a FOX gift pack, and one grand-prize winner will get a five-day/four-night trip for two to the Los Angeles set of a New FOX Tuesday comedy. The grand prize also includes round-trip air and ground transportation; hotel stay including a massage at the hotel's spa; a $500 cash prize; dinners at Mr. Chow and BLT Steak; lunch at The Ivy; and the winner's choice of a 45-minute helicopter ride, a tour of Malibu, a tour of the Venice canals or a tour of Hollywood homes in a vintage Cadillac convertible.
Verizon's FiOS TV customers can watch FOX programming on FiOS TV, Video on Demand and on FiOS TV Online. FiOS TV features more than 560 channels, including 145 in HD, along with 40,000 monthly video-on-demand titles.
