Verizon customers in Nevada are the real winners in newest RootMetrics® wireless network performance report
LAS VEGAS, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon customers in Nevada are enjoying all the benefits of the top performing wireless network in the state, as rated by the new Nevada RootScore® Report by RootMetrics. RootMetrics is an independent mobile analytics firm that uses off-the-shelf consumer smartphones to test the network capabilities of all four major U.S. wireless carriers in six network performance categories across various geographies.
This marks the fifth consecutive time Verizon won the Overall RootScore award in Nevada. Verizon also was ranked first in reliability and data performance and tied for first in call and text performance. Additionally, for the fifth consecutive time, Verizon's wireless network has been acknowledged by RootMetrics as the leader in overall performance among national wireless service providers across the U.S. Scores are based on RootMetrics 40,896 drive and indoor tests, including 3,258 miles and 59 indoor locations in Nevada from July through December 2015.

Verizon continues to enhance its network in Nevada by deploying new technology such as small cells and distributed antenna systems and expanding XLTE coverage, which doubles 4G LTE network bandwidth in cities nationwide, with faster peak speeds and greater capacity than before. In addition, Verizon has aggressively deployed LTE Advanced and carrier aggregation, which uses software to combine multiple network channels running on different spectrum bands into one big pipe, significantly increasing speeds for consumers.
Verizon's innovative network solutions were recently highlighted in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In the Metro RootScore report series, Verizon also tied in reliability and call performance in Las Vegas. Additionally, Verizon's wireless network was also recognized by RootMetrics as earning the most first place or shared first place rankings among the nation's top airports in the second half of 2015, with 25 Data RootScore Awards.
