Ventyx Announces Extended Portfolio and Management Team
Wider Portfolio Combines Synergies with ABB and Leverages Strength of Existing Leadership
ATLANTA, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Ventyx, an ABB company, today announced its extended portfolio as a software-focused business enterprise catering to the needs of utility, industry and commercial customers. Headquartered in Atlanta in the United States, and now part of ABB's Network Management business unit, the enterprise will retain the existing Ventyx brand, as well as key members of its executive leadership team.
Ventyx will maintain its full suite of solutions, including asset and mobile workforce management, customer care, energy commercial operations and energy analytics. In addition, the portfolio will now be extended through ABB's network management software. This includes applications like SCADA/EMS/ GMS (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition /Energy Management System/Generation Management System), SCADA/DMS (Distribution Management System), outage management system (OMS), market management system (MMS) and related services.
Ventyx will continue to focus on all core markets, including energy, utility and communications, as well as select asset-intensive industries, in order to maintain leadership in key areas such as:
- Power Generation – enabling clients to intelligently buy, plan, schedule and operate diverse generation resources such as nuclear new build, renewables and other distributed assets.
- Transmission & Distribution – enabling power, water and gas utilities to manage assets and ensure safe and reliable delivery of energy; integrating demand response management, DMS, OMS, mobile workforce management and Volt-Var optimization systems to create the industry's most comprehensive suite for managing smart grid implementations.
- Communications – continuing to develop mobile workforce management solutions for telecommunications, cable and broadband providers to streamline work processes and improve customer satisfaction.
- Chemical, Oil & Gas – helping clients meet energy demand, tighten regulatory/safety compliance, improve environmental citizenship and mitigate the volatility of fuel supplies.
Vince Burkett will continue as CEO of Ventyx and will be responsible for the overall business. Steve Carpenter, as Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible for all operations, Charles Goodman will be Executive Vice President for global sales, and Joe Matamoros will be Senior Vice President of Finance.
