Venkatapathi 'PV' Puvvada of Unisys Named 2010 CTO Innovator of the Year for Large Business Government Contractor

Washington Technology/NVTC award recognizes Puvvada as technology visionary and business leader

BLUE BELL, Pa., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Venkatapathi "PV" Puvvada of Unisys was recently named 2010 Government Contractor CTO Innovator of the Year in the large business category by the Northern Virginia Technology Council and Washington Technology magazine.

Puvvada accepted the award at NVTC's Annual TechCelebration Banquet held Oct. 19 in McLean, Va.

The inaugural award honors chief technology officers within the region's government contracting community for their critical contributions to achieving results for their customers and their leadership within their own companies.

NVTC and Washington Technology recognized Puvvada for breaking out of the traditional "techie" mold of CTO and serving as a visionary business leader who has made significant contributions to Unisys and its federal customers. Previously CTO of Unisys Federal Systems, Puvvada now serves as vice president and managing partner for civilian agencies at the Unisys federal division.
