Velos successfully leads efforts to centralize clinical research management across borders
FREMONT, Calif., Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Velos, Inc. has recently emerged as the leading software vendor for multi-center, multi-trial clinical research management. The company's flagship clinical research management system, Velos eResearch, now connects hundreds of care locations and thousands of physicians at premier health care institutions, large not-for-profit healthcare systems, prestigious cancer centers, and research institutions both nationally and internationally.
A well-respected quality outcome organization, Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium, is currently using Velos' technology to manage large-scale data sets across 34 sites that span across multiple states in USA and Canada. More participating sites will join the Velos-CHNC network this year. The National Cancer Center of South Korea has completed over a hundred Phase 1 through Phase 4 trials across dozens of hospitals in South Korea using Velos eResearch. What's more, a large not-for-profit healthcare system has been able to centralize all studies and subject information across numerous hospitals in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington, and will manage additional sites in Montana and California using Velos eResearch in the near future.
Organizations that want to create integrated ecosystems for participating sites with diverse workflows and complex interfaces with EHRs, financial systems, labs, etc. are turning to Velos for its flexible, interoperable solutions. "Velos platform's unique ability to standardize processes across multiple facilities while still allowing variations required for different types of clinical research, disease areas, or local needs, make it suitable for a variety of health systems," says Priti Sahai, M.D., Senior Vice President of Velos. Last year alone, a healthcare corporation with 21 affiliates and multiple interfaces with their EHR rolled out Velos eResearch across Tennessee and Arkansas, and plans additional implementations in Mississippi in 2018.
"Clinical research is a collaborative endeavor," says John McIlwain, CEO of Velos. "Healthcare providers and clinical research organizations who are able to efficiently collaborate across research sites - both within their own health systems and with research partners - are best positioned to add value in the clinical research supply chain. We are honored to serve so many exceptional healthcare organizations delivering high quality, efficient clinical research in the multi-site setting."
