VELCRO® Brand Launches Holiday Destination And Pop-Up Retail Store In New York's SoHo Neighborhood

MANCHESTER, N.H., Nov. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The original creator of hook-and-loop fastening solutions, Velcro Industries, today announced its plans to open a retail pop-up store in the SoHo area of Manhattan. Styled as the "Holiday HackShop," the VELCRO® Branded pop-up store, located at 199 Lafayette Street will be open Dec. 1 – 19 and provide a holiday-themed destination for shoppers, DIY and home-improvement fans, families and anyone interested in everyday "hacks" that make their lives easier.

At the shop, VELCRO® Brand ambassadors will host a variety of activities and attractions that will inspire creativity during holidays and throughout the year. Visitors can have their presents expertly wrapped with VELCRO® Brand products and participate in holiday-themed festivities and daily events including:

• Workshops and meet & greet events with celebrity experts to learn new holiday hacks and projects
• Social Currency Day (Mon. Dec. 15): customers can pay for certain products by retweeting, posting, and more
• Hot Chocolate Bar
• Holiday Photo Opportunities
• Kids' Craft Zone
