Eric F. Nost, President and CEO of VCB Financial Group announced that its Board of Directors has elected Edward R. Pittman to the office of Senior Vice President.
A native of Lancaster County, Pittman is a graduate of Lancaster High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree from Virginia Tech. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve and attained the rank of Captain.
Pittman became associated with Bank of Lancaster in 1995 in its wealth management department and today is a Senior Vice President with VCB Wealth Management and a Financial Advisor with Infinex Investments. VCB Wealth Management plays a major role in providing access to financial planning and investments and is an integral part of the VCB Financial Group's commitment to its customers to provide access to a complete array of financial products and services. Pittman has received numerous recognitions in the investment arena, including being named in 2006 as a Top Investment Consultant based on total revenue for the year with BI Investments, LLC, ranking number one over 400 consultants and associates over a 5-state region. Since 2012, he has been recognized at least five times in Infinex's Elite Advisor Group, a significant accomplishment based on the fact that Infinex is a national broker dealer of over 550 advisors and the Elite Advisor Group makes up less than 10% of all advisors. Achievement for this group is based on the amount of revenue produced by the Advisor for the previous year.
Serving his community, Pittman is a member of the Lancaster County Economic Development Authority; a member and past president of the Upper Lancaster Ruritan Club; and a member of American Legion Post #86. He is also past president of the Lancaster/Northumberland Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and has served on the boards of the Middle Peninsula/Northern Neck YMCA, the Mary Ball Washington Museum, the Lancaster County Education Foundation of Virginia and is a past committee member for Lancaster County Parks and Recreation. Pittman served as member on the Lancaster County School Board from 1975 to 1995. He is an active member of White Stone Baptist Church, where we he serves as a deacon.
Pittman and his wife Joyce reside in Lancaster. They have three grown children and 5 grandchildren.
