Vázquez Aldir among the Mexican leaders who will accompany AMLO at the White House: Grupo Empresarial Ángeles (GEA)
MEXICO CITY, July 8, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- On the occasion of the T-MEC's kick-off (Mexico, United States, Canada Trade Treaty), Mexico's President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will be joined tonight by leading Mexican businessmen, such as Olegario Vázquez Aldir (Grupo Empresarial Ángeles); Carlos Hank González (Grupo Financiero Banorte); Ricardo Salinas Pliego (Grupo Salinas); Carlos Slim Helú (Grupo Carso), among others.
In this regard, Grupo Empresarial Ángeles (GEA), one of the most prominent consortiums in Mexico, indicated that the businessmen's participation in the gala dinner to be held tonight at the White House will be key for the proper functioning of the T-MEC .
It should be noted that this will be López Obrador's first official visit to the United States and that both countries hope to strengthen its ties in favor of the bilateral economy.
Given the global context, where the deep economic crisis that has been caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, has wreaked havoc in all the essential sectors for commercial and economic development, GEA pointed out that this meeting in which top-level entrepreneurs are taking part is tremendously beneficial, since it could build powerful collaborative ties for the benefit of all the parties involved.
Regarding the relationship between Mexico and the United States, specialists have described as a success the fact that several relevant businessmen, such as Olegario Vázquez Aldir or Carlos Slim, will be accompanying López Obrador on his first meeting with Donald Trump, since it proves the unity that exists in the country between different sectors. In addition to sending positive signals and creating an environment of trust for future investments in Mexico.
Among the other leaders who will be supporting AMLO in his visit to the White House this Wednesday are: Bernardo Gómez, executive vice president of Grupo Televisa; Daniel Chávez, president of Grupo Vidanta, and Miguel Rincón, owner of BioPappel.
