Dr. Dversdal joins the executive team to lead the company's clinical development and medical affairs activities and to further advance Vave Health's mission in delivering easily accessible, high-quality medical technology to patients and medical professionals.
In the new role, Dr. Dversdal will provide clinical guidance as the company prepares for the commercial launch of its wireless ultrasound technology. She will also lead the company's medical affairs activities including regulatory compliance and clinical trials. In addition to providing a clinical perspective, Dr. Dversdal will contribute to the development of the company's strategic business partnerships.

Dr. Dversdal is a published clinician and provides more than a decade of experience to her role as chief medical officer. Dr. Dversdal received her M.D. from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and went on to complete her internship and residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. She serves as the director of OHSU's POCUS program, where she developed one of the first general medicine ultrasound fellowships in the country and taught ultrasound education to students, residents, fellows, and faculty. Dr. Dversdal was also elected to the board of governors for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine in 2018 and currently serves as an active board member for the Society for Ultrasound in Medical Education.
