Varian to Showcase Imaging Solutions At 19th World Conference On Non-destructive Testing

PALO ALTO, Calif., June 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Varian Medical Systems (NYSE: VAR), today announced plans to demonstrate its security and industrial imaging solutions June 13-17 in Munich Germany at the 19th World Conference on Non-destructive Testing (WCNDT), booth FE73.

What:

The booth demonstrations will showcase the following Varian security and industrial imaging solutions designed to meet a wide spectrum of applications.         




  • Linatron Xp, a high-energy X-ray accelerator for industrial applications powerful enough to penetrate steel, concrete, or other materials.  Designed for quick setup and teardown, the 250 pound Linatron Xp can be easily moved and integrated into imaging systems for pipeline testing, perimeter security, vehicle inspection, and many other infrastructure inspection and first responder applications
  • Varian 2530HE flat-panel digital image detectors for industrial applications provide industry leading image quality for industrial and security applications. Varian's amorphous silicon-based detectors are the benchmark for radiography in industrial, medical and dental applications
  • The HPX 225-11 X-ray tube for industrial application. The water-cooled HPX 225-11 is designed for high resolution digital imaging applications in NDT X-ray inspection. The HPX 225-11 focal spot is only .4mm and is ideal for use with Varian's industrial high energy flat panel detectors. The HPX 225-11 is used in aerospace, automotive parts, carbon fiber, aluminum, precious metals and steel inspections.

The WCNDT is June 13-17, 2016. The exhibition is open from noon to 5:30pm on Monday, 8:30am to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Thursday and 8:30am to 1:30pm on Friday.
