Vanguard To Host Emergency Response Exercise In Conjunction With The Scottsdale Police Department
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Vanguard will host a comprehensive emergency response exercise with tactical units from the Scottsdale Police Department on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Vanguard stresses that Wednesday's exercise is strictly a test. In an actual emergency at Vanguard, the appropriate emergency personnel would be notified and the necessary emergency response procedures will be implemented.
The drill is designed to assess effectiveness of communication and collaboration between Vanguard crew (employees) and local emergency response groups. Wednesday's exercise is scheduled to begin in the morning on Vanguard's campus in Scottsdale and expected to be completed before 12:30 p.m. All activities are to take place in the campus' Pima building, located at 15111 N Pima Road.
"Vanguard has long prepared for an emergency by participating in precautionary exercises like this one as part of our Workplace Safety Program. We value the local partnerships that give their time and efforts to participate in a drill like this one, and give us the confidence of a rapid response in an actual event," said Brian W. Lynch, Head of Global Security, Vanguard.
