DETROIT, April 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Van Andel Education Institute (VAEI) invites educators from across the country to learn new content and practical strategies designed to create an engaging classroom culture that brings inquiry-based instruction to life. This year's conference will focus on project-based learning, critical thinking, student engagement, classroom management, collaboration, social and emotional learning, NGSS, and, of course, STEAM integration. Science on the Grand was designed by experts and current classroom teachers to create a rich learning experience where teachers are treated with respect and their ideas are valued. The conference theme says it all, "Because Teachers Deserve It!"
In addition to the keynote presentations, sessions, and networking opportunities, teachers are invited to compete for up to $5,000 to transform their classroom. Finalists will present their "pitch" at the VAEI Pitch Tank.
All K-12 educators interested in learning more about STEAM instruction by grade level and dedicated to creating an engaging classroom culture are invited to attend and register at vaei.vai.org/science19.
