TRAFFORD, Pa., July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Value Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania, Inc. (VBH-PA), a ValueOptions® company specializing in mental and emotional wellbeing and recovery, today announced that David Rosenthal, M.D., M.H.A., has accepted a position as the organization's Medical Director.
In his new position, Dr. Rosenthal will oversee VBH-PA's medical utilization and review process, and develop and implement policies and procedures related to clinical treatment and standards of quality.
A nearly 20-year veteran of providing mental health services in Pennsylvania, Dr. Rosenthal joins VBH-PA from Gateway Health, a managed health care plan specializing in Medicare and Medicaid populations, where he served as Behavioral Health Medical Director. Previously he served as Medical Director with Excela Health's Department of Behavioral Health, where he oversaw a psychiatry department and the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit. Dr. Rosenthal received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency in psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He earned a master's degree in health administration from Seton Hall University.
