Valmont Coatings Division Honored With Two Excellence in Galvanizing Awards
OMAHA, Neb., April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Valmont Industries, Inc. (NYSE: VMI), a leading global provider of engineered products and services for infrastructure, and mechanized irrigation equipment for agriculture, announced today that Valmont's Coatings Division was honored with two Awards for Excellence in Hot Dip Galvanizing. The awards competition, sponsored by the American Galvanizing Association, was based on utilization of hot dip galvanizing in an ideal, creative, innovative or monumental fashion.
Valmont Coatings' facility in West Point, Nebraska was recognized in the Duplex System Category for its "Council Bluffs Gateway" submission. The project is a combination of paint over hot dip galvanizing.
The Valmont Coatings' galvanizing facility located in Tampa, Florida was recognized with the award in the Electrical, Utility & Communication category. The winning project, "Keuka Energy Wind Towers" is located in Ainsworth and Fairfield, Iowa.
