Valley Medical Center Unveils New Logo, Co-Branded with UW Medicine

RENTON, Wash., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On July 1, 2011, the strategic alliance between Valley Medical Center (VMC) and UW Medicine became official and VMC joined the UW Medicine Health System alongside Harborview Medical Center, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, UW Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine and Airlift Northwest.

As an important element of the health system branding, Valley Medical Center received a new logo representing its new relationship with UW Medicine and allowing VMC to be fully integrated into the current advertising for the health system.

On August 12, 2011, Rich Roodman, CEO at Valley Medical Center unveiled the new logo in the hospital lobby. Signage was subsequently placed throughout VMC and its clinic network to begin acquainting staff, patients and visitors with the new look.

Roodman states, "It was important to us to retain the name Valley Medical Center, which holds great value in our community, while at the same time leveraging the unparalleled reputation, and breadth of services and resources offered by UW Medicine."

Conversion to the new logo will happen over time, but hospital patrons will begin seeing it roll out throughout the organization over the coming weeks and months.
