Valley Forge Composite Technologies Enters Into Product Distribution Partnership With Intellidome ALSS
COVINGTON, Ky., Nov. 5, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Valley Forge Composites Technologies announces today that it entered a distribution partnership with Intellidome ALSS. Each of the parties will immediately begin forging markets for the other's unique counter-terrorism and homeland security products.
Intellidome will distribute VLYF's THOR-LVX cargo scanning system and ODIN transmission body scanner in select international markets. VLYF will likewise distribute Intellidome's Intellidome wireless surveillance camera system. Since both companies are focused on serving the same counter-terrorism clients, the nexus announced today provides ample opportunities for synergy.
Intellidome's primary product represents the world's first net-energy neutral wireless camera system capable of delivering multiple, simultaneous video feeds to multiple mobile devices for complete command and control. The Intellidome system is the world's first multi-point camera/transceiver to multi-point mobile device wireless network capable of handling high-bandwidth video feeds. The product is the first to enable the systematic and simultaneous consumption of hundreds of video feeds by hundreds of users (clients). That is, while one official observes two dozen video feeds on one side of town, 5 other officials will be able to observe the same feeds across town without signal degradation, while others are able to observe different feeds similarly. Using Intellidome's proprietary video and multi-sensor fusion software, users monitor real-time video feeds in grid format using web browsers and grids of simultaneous feeds. Surveying hundreds of feeds is a matter of flipping through the pages of video grids. When a user identifies a feed of interest, they can select it, expand the image, and begin controlling the camera (zoom, pan, tilt, start record, microphone etc.). The feeds can also be used as silent witnesses, whereby certain activities trigger recording and email alarms.
What sets Intellidome apart is the delivery to mobile client viewing platforms; the system distributes multiple video feeds to handheld devices (Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch) providing real-time situational awareness. Individual video feeds consume inordinate bandwidth. Prior to the development of the Intellidome system, bandwidth limitations have represented a ball-and-chain to surveillance systems, limiting them to simple wireless networks (single cameras feeding single or only a few monitors), or requiring expensive and cumbersome fiber optic infrastructures for "land locked" systems of more complex architecture (e.g. multiple cameras feeding multiple, anchored monitors).
Intellidome's proprietary wireless transceiver represents a breakthrough solution to the problem presented by the transmission of complex video data. Intellidome's transceiver relies on an ingenious method of data compression that uses "virtual" data channels created via adaptive dynamic polling, super packet aggregation and bandwidth control. Intellidome specifications include 30 frames per second video streaming without degradation for multiple, simultaneous users (up to 256) via 11Mbps, 54 Mbps and 108 Mbps terrestrially and up to a full 480 MBbps over satellite. System encryption is the most advanced for wireless transmission in the world (considered impossible to hack). No telephone switches mean no COMS bottlenecks – Satellite MPLS over VSAT translates into lower cost and more functionality than even the wireless COMS used by the US military (e.g. UAV navigation). When existing wireless infrastructures are already in place, integration of Intellidome nets requires no additional satellite dishes, repeaters or towers and is truly "plug and play". Wireless systems do not need the laying of new coaxial cabling or fiber optic networks, and drawing grid power from conductors already feeding a lighting fixture obviates new electrical wiring as well. This provides us the ability and ease of mass deployment for city-wide, region-wide and border surveillance systems. The integrated Intellidome – Evolucia LED lighting fixtures create the same level of lighting as the inefficient metal halide or high pressure sodium fixtures they replace, while consuming similar or slightly less energy at full draw.
"Integrating our innovative system with Valley Forge's efforts makes sense because both firms are focused on creating security force multipliers for clients," said Mike Miville, Intellidome's CEO.
