Valid USA and Washington State DOL Form Successful Partnership

SEATTLE, May 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AAMVA Region IV Conference -- Technology solutions provider Valid USA, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Valid S. A. (BM&F Bovespa, Sao Paulo: VLID3), is pleased to announce that with the conversion of 80% of Washington's Licensing Service Offices (LSOs), Valid has now processed close to 250,000 driver licenses and identification cards for the State of Washington Department of Licensing, as it ramps toward full statewide deployment. 

The conversion of LSOs began as a series of pilots, beginning in February 2017, and has progressed rapidly and successfully.  Michael Fox, Valid USA Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Identity Solutions, attributed the relatively rapid pace of conversion to "the joint team effort between Valid and Washington DOL," whereby the installation and training teams were staffed by teams from both organizations working together to deploy equipment, train the office staff, and perform system conversion for each licensing office. This mixed team effort enabled the expertise of both organizations to be proficiently applied and the ongoing conversions to occur seamlessly. 

Washington DOL Director Pat Kohler, referred to the conversion effort as, "a great example of the partnership between government and industry."  Kohler described how the installation and training teams had a single vision and unified purpose in accomplishing what could otherwise be an intricate and challenging conversion process.  Valid's Chief Executive Officer, Carlos Affonso Seigneur d'Albuquerque, stated, "The climate of collaboration and teamwork between Valid and WA DOL has been the hallmark of this project."

Washington Department of Licensing expects to complete its statewide deployment in early June.
