VA Leadership to Announce 2012 National Veteran Small Business Conference and Hiring Fair in Detroit

What:
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Chief of Staff John R. Gingrich and Detroit mayor Dave Bing will announce the location of the National Veterans Small Business Conference in June. The government's premier event for Veteran-owned small business is expected to attract thousands of Veterans, business owners, contractors, and federal employees. VA will also announce a VA for Vets hiring fair to be held during the conference for Veterans looking for careers in the public and private sectors.

Background: Last year's National Veteran Small Business Conference and Expo in New Orleans drew over 5,000 attendees, a significant economic boost to the host city. As with last year's conference, the upcoming event will include an open house that gives Veterans the chance to learn the wide range of resources available to help Veterans with their own businesses.
