VA Chooses entellitrak® to Track HR Processes
New Automated Workload Tracking System Will Maximize Productivity
HERNDON, Va., April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has chosen MicroPact's COTS product entellitrak to be its automated workload tracking system for business process management of key business processes within the Central Office Human Resources Services (COHRS). These processes include Staffing, Classification, Employee/Labor Relations and Benefits, and Employee Programs and Services. The VA chose entellitrak in a competitive bid and demonstration process over two business process management competitors.
COHRS is responsible for administering HR programs to Agency and civilian employees. Information about the VA workforce flows from offices all over the nation into VA headquarters, where it is manually entered by COHRS personnel into Excel spreadsheets and homegrown applications. COHRS sought a system that could keep pace with the increasing volume of data, organizing and formatting it quickly for storage and analysis. It was essential that the system also provide the reporting tools to draw insights from the data, including how to restructure employee workload to maximize productivity.
entellitrak was chosen as it meets these requirements and will give COHRS a tighter grasp on HR-related data, enabling them to monitor productivity within each business unit. entellitrak will determine the status of individual cases, identify bottlenecks in processing, provide information on employee workload, and support decisions on work assignments.
entellitrak is already in use at the VA's Civil Rights Division as well as the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). "The VA is very familiar with our repeatable solution," says Kris Collo, President of MicroPact. "Once again, for COHRS, we are configuring entellitrak as an enterprise tracking system that will meet the client's custom needs by providing all the functionality required to track, search, and report on their data, without the need for additional programming."
Because entellitrak is a configurable COTS product, agencies experience accelerated implementations. The VA will benefit from MicroPact's highly streamlined implementation process which has allowed agencies to receive their fully configured system within 3-6 months.
MicroPact will partner with Job Performance Systems (JPS) on this effort.
