UTC Aerospace Systems' Innovators Advance in Fellows Program
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), inducted six new Fellows during a ceremony Monday evening. The event also marked the promotion of seven Fellows to Senior Fellow or as a Discipline Lead, which infuses new energy and creativity into the flourishing 14 year old program.
UTC Aerospace Systems' Fellows are individuals who demonstrated exceptional knowledge, judgment and leadership in their technical discipline. They are recognized as valuable contributors and experts in their fields by company and industry peers. As mentors, teachers and leaders the Fellows directly drive the technical excellence of the company's products, processes and people.
Dr. Michael McQuade, Senior Vice President for Science and Technology at UTC, presided over the events taking place in Windsor, Connecticut. As a champion of UTC Aerospace Systems' Fellows Program, he continues to identify new ways to build, challenge and strengthen this team.

The seven Fellows promoted to Senior Fellow or Discipline Lead will set the strategic direction for discipline areas, provide leadership in support of business strategy development and take an active role in recruiting new college graduates and professionals to support the disciplines.

Olivier Brucelle, Material & Processes – Special Processes. Brucelle holds a degree in engineering, Ecole des Mines d'Albi, France, and a Ph.D. from Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, France.
Mustansir H. Kheraluwala, Electronics. Kheraluwala holds a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India, and a Master of Science and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Brian Matheis, Aero-Thermal Fluids. Matheis holds a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from Iowa State University, Iowa City.
Sergey Mironets, Materials & Processes – Additive Manufacturing. Mironets holds a mechanical engineering degree from National Transport University, Kiev, U.S.S.R.; a Ph.D. in powder metallurgy and composite materials from Institute for Problems of Material Science, Kiev; and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y.
Vijay Pujar, Material & Processes – Emerging and Green Technologies Research & Development. Pujar holds a Bachelor of Technology in ceramic engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India, and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
Mark Severson, Electronics – Mechanical Packaging and Electronics Cooling. Severson holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Steve Davies, Mechanical Design – Discipline Lead. Davies holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Gary Hess, Electronics – Discipline Lead. Hess holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Western New England College, Springfield, Mass.
Lisa McDaniel, Structures – Discipline Lead. McDaniel holds Bachelor of Science in engineering science from Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pa., and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y.
Susie Neal, Quality. Neal holds an associate degree in global logistics from Forsyth Technical Community College, Winston-Salem, N.C., and a Bachelor of Science in business administration, University of Phoenix, Tempe, Ariz.
Bill Richardson, Systems Engineering. Richardson holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Villanova University, Villanova, Pa., and Master of Science in electrical engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pa.
William Wentland, Material & Processes – Discipline Lead. Wentland holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in metallurgical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Tom Wiegele, Mechanical Design. Wiegele holds a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana; a Master of Science in manufacturing engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta; a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a minor in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and a Certificate in Technology Management from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena.
