Utah Valley CVB Offers Sneak Peek of New Convention Center in Utah
Hard-Hat Tours and Interior Renderings Available for Utah Valley Convention Center
PROVO, Utah, Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Utah Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau (UVCVB), the official destination marketing organization for Utah County, announced today that it is offering a sneak peek of the nearly completed Utah Valley Convention Center located in historic downtown Provo, Utah. Hard-hat tours and new interior renderings will give interested groups and organizations an exclusive view of the 83,578-square-foot meeting space before its grand opening in May 2012.
"The final countdown has begun until the doors of the Utah Valley Convention Center will be open to the public," said Joel Racker, President and CEO of Utah Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau. "After eighteen months of construction, the Utah Valley Convention Center is on schedule to open this spring. Tour participants will receive exclusive access to all three floors of the LEED Silver-certified Utah Valley Convention Center during the final construction stage, including the 19,620-square-foot exhibit hall, 16,894-square-foot ballroom, 9,563-square-foot break-out meeting space, 663-square-foot boardroom and 5,553-square-foot open-roof top garden providing a front row seat to Mount Timpanogos. Tour guests will also learn about free event planning resources available through the UVCVB.

Utah Valley Convention Center is within walking distance of 39 restaurants and near 1,349 lodging rooms. The new facility is located four miles from the Provo Municipal Airport and 45 miles south of the Salt Lake City International Airport. It is near Robert Redford's Sundance Resort, which offers numerous summer and winter activities.
