UT Dallas Named One of Top 100 Best Values In Public Colleges
RICHARDSON, Texas, Dec. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The University of Texas at Dallas has been named again as one of the nation's top 100 best values among public colleges, according to Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine.
One of only three Texas schools to make the list, UT Dallas was ranked 60th for its high four-year graduation rate, low average student debt at graduation, financial aid, cost and overall value.
"We are very proud of the work done by UT Dallas faculty and staff to provide an exceptional academic value for our students," said President David E. Daniel. "We don't always focus on rankings, but it's very gratifying to be recognized for providing a great value in public college education. That's our mission for the State of Texas and for the families represented by our students."
UT Dallas was selected for a combination of academics and affordability from a pool of more than 500 public four-year colleges and universities. Schools were ranked for academic quality, including SAT scores, admission and retention rates, student-faculty ratios and graduation rates, as well as for cost and financial aid.
The other Texas universities on the list are Texas A&M University (18) and The University of Texas at Austin (27).
