USHCC Applauds 10 Best U.S. Corporations for Veteran-owned Businesses for 2012
WASHINGTON, April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) applauds the 2012 National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) 10 Best U.S. corporations for veteran-owned businesses. The prestigious list honors the large corporations that most successfully engage the nation's three million veteran-owned businesses (VOBs) as suppliers.
This year's list of corporations include Booz Allen Hamilton, Comcast Corporation, DynCorp International, Johnson & Johnson, Life Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Mack Trucks, Inc., Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Rockwell Collins, Inc., and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

According to the most recent Census Bureau Survey of Business, the percentage of Veteran-owned businesses under Hispanic ownership doubled from 2002 to 2007. Hispanic veteran-owned businesses now number over 113,000. These businesses employ approximately 141,000 people and account for nearly $25 billion in receipts.
