USHCC presented the 2012 Corporation of the Year award to Tim Harden, President, Supply Chain Fleet Operations at AT&T.
"This is quite an honor for our company," says Tim Harden, President, Supply Chain and Fleet Operations. "It validates the work that we do to ensure that minority-owned and women-owned businesses are fairly represented as valuable suppliers. By doing business with diverse suppliers, we directly contribute to the creation of jobs in our local communities and beyond. We are strengthening ties to all those small business owners who benefit from our products and services - the lives we touch every day. This is something we value deeply and we are proud to be recognized by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce."
Among AT&T's thousands of major suppliers worldwide are a number of America's leading Hispanic-owned companies and USHCC members, including: Argent & Associates, Group O, Pinnacle Technical Resources and MasTech, to name a few. In 2011, Argent & Associates and Pinnacle Technical Resources were two of only seven suppliers worldwide, to win the AT&T Global Supplier Award.
"At AT&T, Hispanic and other diverse businesses are an integral part of our supplier network," says Harden. "Knowing that our work as a Procurement group has made an impact is incredibly rewarding."
