USGBC® NCR Names Eugenia Gregorio 2011 Member of The Year
ROCKVILLE, Md., July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Tower Companies announced today that the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC®) of the National Capital Region awarded Eugenia Gregorio, LEED AP BD+C and the company's Sustainability Manager, "2011 Member of the Year" for her outstanding dedication and contribution to the events and program committees of the local organization.

Her leadership and make-it-happen attitude prove what can be done when the right person is at the helm," stated USGBC NCR Board Chair, Shannon Sentman, Principal and Co-founder, Sol Vista Consulting.

Gregorio first joined the USGBC NCR Chapter Emerging Professional group in late 2005 when she was studying to become a LEED Accredited Professional, joined the events committee and soon thereafter became the Events Coordinator. In December of 2010, a member of the NCR Board of Directors asked her to become the Co-Chair for the Program Committee. She developed and organized the newly branded monthly "GreenScene" networking events and "GreenLearn" educational events in coordination with Co-Chair Marcus Kenny of WorkSpaces, LLC.
Eugenia has 9 years of construction consulting, management, and sustainability experience in the Washington, D.C. metro area. She is pursuing an MBA at George Washington University in the part-time program, beginning Fall 2011. The Tower Companies hired her in December of 2010.
