WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- This March 2nd the CEO and Executive Director of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Tom Cochran, will convene with three other key partners to announce the first inaugural meeting of The Global Parliament of Mayors, which will bring together mayors from around the world and will be held on October 23 and 24.
Harvey Goldsmith, CBE, will host the new partners Mr. Tom Cochran, Mayor of Bristol George Ferguson, and the Global Parliament of Mayors' founder, Dr. Benjamin Barber, in London.
Tom Cochran and the mayors seek to lead GPM in a proactive manner by confronting urban issues head-on and providing achievable solutions. Over 100 mayors are to meet over a two-day gathering in October to create a governance platform. The first meeting's agenda will focus on managing climate change and the future of urban economies.

Saturday October 24th, Bristol: the second sitting in Bristol, in collaboration with Mayor George Ferguson and Bristol, European Green Capital 2015
