SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- USANA Health Sciences Inc. (NYSE: USNA) Canadian distributors Chris and Heather Hartridge will finish cycling the 1,700 mile distance from British Columbia to Salt Lake City tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 14, with a purpose to raise awareness and funding for USANA's charity, the USANA True Health Foundation, and specifically the Sanoviv Medical Institute for the treatment of disease. "We have been anticipating this trip for quite some time and have been eager to use this bike tour to raise funds for such a worthy cause," says Chris Hartridge. "We love USANA and being able to tour and make a difference, while making our way to USANA's International Convention, has been an incredible experience."
The couple began exploring the Pacific Northwest several years ago with their young children and a tent trailer. But now at the age of 60, the Hartridges have hit the pavement with only their bikes, and they have taken some serious voyages since 2005. They began this most recent journey on June 23 in Kamloops, British Columbia, and will be arriving in Salt Lake City on Aug. 14, just in time for USANA's International Convention, a special event held for USANA distributors worldwide.
"We are so proud of our outstanding distributors who literally go the extra mile, or in this case, miles, to support our company and foundation," says Elaine Pace, president of the USANA True Health Foundation. "We are honored to be a part of the Hartridge's journey in their effort to raise funding for the True Health Foundation."
