USAA Honors Cross Country Automotive Services With Strategic Supplier Excellence Award
MEDFORD, Mass., June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Cross Country Automotive Services (Cross Country), one of the largest providers of driver and vehicle assistance services in North America, was recently named a recipient of USAA's inaugural Strategic Supplier Excellence Award. USAA is consistently named as one of the top financial service providers for the U.S. military.
Mike Cassidy, senior vice president of USAA's Corporate Services, explained that the awards were created "to recognize suppliers who play a vital role in USAA achieving its strategic mission of providing excellent financial services and products to the military community and their families."
Cross Country was recognized for providing outstanding service through USAA's emergency roadside assistance program, which aided more than 1 million USAA members last year who needed help while traveling.
"This recognition means a lot to each of our 2,300 employees and more than 15,000 roadside assistance network providers who are challenged each day to find better and quicker ways to help motorists who are in trouble and often under duress," said Cross Country CEO Michael Saxton. "This is the kind of customer feedback we strive hard to achieve as a benchmark for all of our operations."
In addition to operating one of the largest roadside assistance programs in North America, serving more than 90% of all vehicle brands and more than half of the largest automobile insurance carriers, Cross Country also provides most of the nation's top 20 property and casualty insurers with Vehicle Incident Management Services. These services include accident scene management (the coordination of towing, storage and repair costs to ensure fair pricing), vehicle release management, catastrophe support (removing repairable and total loss vehicles) and loyalty benefits programs (to engage policyholders beyond a vehicle or driver incident). Every Vehicle Incident Management Services program is turn-key and offers benefits to insurers and their customers, by decreasing claims costs and cycle times while increasing insurance policyholder satisfaction levels.
