MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- In the final week leading up to the tenth anniversary of 9/11 and the events that changed America ten years ago, USA TODAY's coverage will include exclusive interviews, essays and features. USA TODAY looks at "How 9/11 Changed America" in the 10 years since the attacks through the stories of specific people, places, and events.
USA TODAY 9/11 anniversary coverage will include the following:
- USA TODAY's look at "How 9/11 Changed America" since 9/11 through the stories of specific people, places and events. The stories of 20 Americans told as a series of snapshots in time, these stories form a narrative of how 9/11 changed us, one at a time.
- On Friday, September 9th, USA TODAY will have the only newspaper interview given by President George W. Bush on the tenth anniversary of 9/11. Bush was interviewed by Judy Keen, USA TODAY reporter, who was aboard Air Force One with Bush on 9/11.
- On Friday, September 9th, USA TODAY will publish an exclusive essay written by President Barack Obama. On his watch, the USA's most-wanted terrorist was killed.
- Hitting newsstands today, USA TODAY's 9/11 special edition tabloid features exclusive essays from Obama and New York Mayors, Michael Bloomberg and Rudy Giuliani. Also included: excerpts from the Bush interview; all 20 personal "How 9/11 Changed America" stories; "Four Hours of Fear" – a report on clearing the nation's skies on 9/11; and "Ground Zero: A Decade Later" – a two-page graphic following the 10-year rebuilding process.
- Currently on newsstands, a USA TODAY glossy magazine entitled "Remembering 9/11: A Tribute to Heroes" featuring a photo gallery of ten anniversaries and a look at America's three 9/11 memorials. The glossy will be on sale through October 23rd at newsstands.
