ARLINGTON, Va. , Dec. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ARC, the financial settlement link between airlines and travel sellers, reported today that the consolidated dollar value of airline tickets sold by U.S.- based travel agencies increased 1.32 percent* year-over-year in the first eleven months of 2013 compared to the same period last year, totaling $80.9 billion vs. $79.8 billion in 2012. Sales for November 2013 were $6.2 million, a 1.1 percent increase over November 2012.

As of November 30, ticket transactions for 2013 remained virtually flat at -0.88 percent with 133.5 million transactions versus 134.7 million transactions over the same period in 2012. Year-to-date passenger segments decreased 2.1 percent to 335.2 million compared to 342.4 million in the first eleven months of 2012 and 342.3 million in 2011.
