HERNDON, Va., Dec. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) today announced that U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will headline the organization's Titans breakfast event on Dec. 17, 2013, from 7 – 9:15 a.m. at Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, Va. During the event, Justice Ginsburg will engage in a fireside chat with former U.S. Solicitor General Ted Olson.

Justice Ginsburg was nominated by President Clinton as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, taking her seat in 1993. Before becoming a judge, Justice Ginsburg was a professor at Rutgers School of Law - Newark and Columbia Law School, and served as general counsel to the American Civil Liberties Union and co-founder of its Women's Rights Project.
Olson, who was selected by Time magazine in 2010 as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, has argued 60 cases in the Supreme Court, the latest being for the same-sex marriage plaintiffs in the Proposition 8 case during the Court's last session. He is a partner with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
